Wow that's a terrible thing to say about men. There are lots of good men. Both men and women can be bad people. Its easy to supervise when kids are little, but not so easy when they are teens.

In this particular case, though, we're talking about one specific man who was convicted and went to jail for preying on a child, and now he's advertising services to build the same kind of relationship with new children. Let's not get distracted with fears of theoretical harm from unknown people-- we know this one is bad!

Have you shared this with McSL? I’m still shocked they don’t require every team to run background checks regularly for paid and volunteer staff. Summer swim seems to be the place for all kinds of bad stuff to happen. The system is only set up to be reactive, bot proactive. This is the only youth organization I know that runs without the best interests of children as their main focus.

He is no longer on probation and does not appear to still be on the sex offender registry. He has every right to do what he is doing. People also have every right to be disgusted with what he is doing. But the comments about contacting a parole officer or reporting him to the authorities are out of line … there is literally no basis for doing so.

That’s why they should print out his arrest mug shot and post it to every flyer he puts up. People need to know what he did and make an informed decision to hire a convicted pedophile to interact with their kids.

It is a violation of USA Swimming policies for any USA swimming registered swimmer to associate or receive any coaching from a coach on the banned list. It can result with the athlete being suspended or banned from usaswimming.
