LOL. But the Inspector General does find the Parents Coalition helpful. You stay on your beach. |
You shouldn't be able to change emergency contact on parentvue. If you can't see why, I can't help you. |
If you get involved and ask questions your information won't be censored. I assume you're right that ignorance is bliss. I wouldn't know so ignorance has never been my thing. That's why I ask question and research. |
So, it is a part time-ish job? -DP |
Ok Janet. Glad you find your own ramblings useful. |
If YOU are the one asking questions and doing the research, then obviously something is not right in that system. You are taking time out of your work (if you work) because you need to find info and get an understanding or clarification? Unacceptable. |
Do you even know what a NDA is? MCCPTA isn’t telling you everything ever. |
If I’m taking time to ask questions and do research it’s because I want to be an informed citizen so I can draw my own understanding and conclusions. It’s because I want to be an engaged member of my community. If that is too much effort for You, then You now have the answer as to why you are uninformed and not able to keep up. Doing this doesn’t interrupt my workdays at all unless I want it to. Like I can listen to BOE meeting while on my way to/from a kid’s practice. |
MCCPTA is not one person it’s many and many committees. And you’re assuming it is my only source of info. |
The NDAs came from MCPS, not MCCPTA |
MCCPTA signs them and agrees to withhold information from parents. |
Except MCCPTA is made up of parents and any parent or community member is welcome to run for office or join a committee. So again, we’re back to folks engaging and getting involved. |
You clearly have no idea what an NDA is. |
DP. I don't know why you're trying to hijack OP's thread, but MCCPTA's president just went before the board and criticized MCPS for their practice of having members of committees sign NDAs. https://montgomeryperspective.com/2025/06/25/county-pta-pushes-back-on-mcps-ndas/ |
Anything to protect the brand. If only parents really knew things.... |
