You are the sort of concertgoer I'm thinking of when people around me start standing up.

There's often a big hit final song, and I'll join the stand and singers for that one. But if I bought a seat, I'm sitting for the rest of the concert. And I'm saving my whooping for after a song

I’ve been to many shows. For me, the default is to stand but it is band dependent. Now as I’m approaching 60, I stand when I can but I’ll sit and recharge when my old bones start creaking.
