Latest news is that someone called for an ambulance from her address for a suspected heart attack.
She couldn't be revived and died on the scene. So sad. She was very good in Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and Worst Cooks in America. |
I don’t believe she had diabetes. |
I’ve also only seen references to her being a T1 advocate not a patient

Her nephew had diabetes
Burrell was an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness and was a celebrity ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, according to the Food Network. She served on the advisory board for the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a nonprofit that brings life-changing opportunities for young people in need. Burrell also served on City Harvest's Food Council, a New York City food rescue program. |

Anne Burrell became acutely aware of how important a healthy diet is for people living with diabetes when a member of her family was diagnosed. “My nephew Luke was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was one year old, so it’s something that he and my brother’s family have been living with for pretty much his whole life,” Burrell says. “It is something that has become a cause that is very near and dear to my heart.” |
Thanks PP’s for clearing that up. |
What does that entail? Mine does an echocardiogram. |
Not at all . |
Ok. Get your complete cardiac check up done regularly, especially if you have been ill with COVID at some point, or you were exposed to COVID and was asymptomatic, or you were vaccinated or took a booster. |
No. My regular dr does not do a complete cardiac check at the annual visit. I get my complete cardiac check up done by a cardiologist annually because of my family history and because my medical insurance covers it. I get an EKG, an ECG and a nuclear stress test. My cardiologist has my complete cardiac history since 2016. |
