You are likely going to Amherst if you're interested in post graduate study. Poor post graduate study outcomes do matter. People on this site love gaslighting that there's no consideration of outcomes when choosing an institution and it's bs.

I'm sure your feelings are based on empirical evidence and not cranky-old-manism.

I am sure you know tons of the new students yourself and see their GPA's and test scores too.

These stats are public knowledge.

They aren't for the students who applied test optional.

Because trinity is a low tier school, especially compared to Amherst, and Trinity's most famous Alum is racist and Russian asset Tucker Carlson.

Yep, as expected- douchebag double-down by legend in their own mind Amherst grad. Still, looks like Trinity has beat you this year, despite your whining.

It’s certainly weird to get hung up on trashing one particular school. Especially a small LAC.

I’m a Williams alum and even I think this Amherst-bashing has gone too far. Can you afford the school? Check. Can your kid get in? Check. Is it a good fit for your kid? Check. If it checks off all three boxes, it’s a great school.

OP had to dig pretty deep here. Who cares?

I am not sure why people are discounting the Fulbright teaching awards. The economy for new grads is horrible, so any opportunity that provides a launching point is a good one.
