People who live like sloths. That's who. |
What do you mean by this? Are you saying that most adults stay up past 11 pm? |
Normally I'm pretty active but when I'm sick I can lay in bed all day and watch TV. |
IMO you will miss a lot of the beauty of this show if you're doing another task while watching it. It's not trash TV. Watch a reality show or something while you clean stuff out. Enjoy The Pitt by sitting down and paying attention. |
I watch on my phone only. There are days when I cook for 2-3 hrs for meal prep. I watch something on the side. DH folds endless loads of laundry with something in the background. We do have kids and go to bed around 10:30. Kids are entertaining themselves or doing HW. We spend plenty of time together otherwise. |
I have one child and a partner that fells asleep at 8. It’s possible to get half a season in. |
Last shows that were worth binging were: Breaking Bad and Friday Night Lights. For those, I admittedly kept a strange schedule. |
And that's not anyone on DCUM. The general consensus seems to be "it's not a norm" so I want to know who OP is hanging out with. |
I was thinking this too, haha. Most adults are absolutely in bed by 11pm during the week especially if they have kids! At least the adults I know. And I’ve only binged shows (meaning maybe 5-6 episodes in a day of 45-60min episodes) after surgery or when I was sick with Covid and we were still doing the whole “isolate in your room for 10 days” thing |

Some of the newer series are only eight 34-45-minute episodes, so it can go by quickly.
The last show I binged in a day was Million Dollar Secret on Netflix. It had 8 episodes and I started watching at around lunchtime on a Sunday. I finished that evening at around 7 or 8. I did other stuff while watching like folding laundry, tidying up, a puzzle, boring easy work emails before Monday morning, etc. I mostly do binges over 2 or 3 nights. For example, I watched Four Seasons on Netflix over 2 evenings. Again, it has 8 episodes, so I watched 3 one evening, 1 the next day during lunch, and then the final 4 the next evening. I'm not great a binging longer shows. I get bored after too many episodes in a row and find myself not paying attention. |
I generally watch TV from about 10:30 pm -1:00 am, when the kids are in bed. I don’t have to be up until about 8 am usually. |
I do this when I get norovirus or strep throat. |
I'm one of those who love to binge a good show. I can't see as well as I used to, so the hours I used to spend reading novels I now watch good shows. |
I completely understand not having the free time to binge watch tv, but for the posters who feel guilty if they watch more than one hour of tv…why? Will there really be a discernible difference in the world if you watch for two hours? How do you watch movies? |
