How are you feeling about flying out of / into DCA right now?

I do everything to avoid it. So many delays there now. I forgot on my last trip and ended up having to come home a day later after all the delays into DCA. And this was last month.

This is the only reason I would consider avoiding it. But Dulles and BWI aren't much better and not easy to get to.

Just observed today at DCA, after my plane just landed and was slowly moving, how the plain attempting landing had to pick back up to do another try, because another plain on the same runway was starting the take off.
This scene left me feeling that this tiny airport is extremely overwhelmed. And it did make me want to book in IAD only from now on.
It’s crazy to me they keep adding flights there, despite so much evidence that it’s unsafe.

I'm flying to EWR next week -- is this unsafe? I am crazed with anxiety at this point. I don't care about delays, I care about safety. I'm headed to a wedding.

This. booking now a flight back for kid who is in Europe and I passed one to Boston with connection to DCA in favor of one with connection in Europe to Dulles. DCA is avoid if possible. Newark is a hard hard no.

I try to avoid it more because of possible delays than because I am scared. I am about 15 min from DCA and 30 min from Dulles.
