Came here to say this. Also alcohol. Nothing else helped me. |
Dropping sugar is a good idea but it has nothing to do with joint pain and aches. Wheat should be eliminated if someone can’t tolerate it. |
+1. If I don't routinely take supplements, my vitamin D level craters and I get pretty bad joint pain. Goes away when I get my D level back up. |
Merely one link. I noticed it personally, but I figured I'd see what I could find quickly online. Sports Medicine Physiatrist, Amy West, MD discusses how metabolic health is the real driver of joint pain, tendon issues and more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQ72AOqW9_o&t=7s |
Epsom salt baths!! I do these every night. Game changer |
WTH about no cold food or drink. This is crazy. |
The epsom salt doesn't do anything. There are so many studies that show this. Taking collagen does nothing. |
Agreed, it all sounds like quackery. |
Do whatever you want to and suffer :) |
My acupuncturist recommended the same. |
Advil pm. |
I haven't tried it but I've heard Claritin can help. I've found yoga helps me, but it's not a perfect fix.

Cannabis and movement. I work with a guy who was in the US military decades ago and was injured in service, he became a study participant in studies of the efficacy of cannabis in treating pain - yes, the US military and government have been aware for decades that cannabis was an effective pain moderator with little risk of addiction or overdose. All the most recent research in pain management has found that the best thing for pain management is gentle regular movement - choose an activity that you like and will be inclined to engage in on a daily basis. Also there is a lot of research into the efficacy of mindfulness to help pain sufferers re-train their brains around perception of pain. |
Wow, I can't believe you wrote that. It is very well understood by medical and dietary professionals that refined sugar (not attached to fiber in fruits and vegetables) is highly inflammatory in the human body and a major exacerbator of chronic joint pain. Purging added sugars from the diet is a recommendation for those suffering osteoarthritis and other joint paint. |
