On usaspending.gov, is the message about a “bug” from DOGE?

“There is currently a bug affecting the Recipient Filter feature of our service. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to fix this issue. Please contact our service desk for additional assistance.”

DOGE Is No More

“President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency has disbanded with eight months left to its mandate, ending an initiative launched with fanfare as a symbol of Trump’s pledge to slash the government’s size but which critics say delivered few measurable savings,” Reuters reports.

Can we start prosecuting them now? Following orders was deemed to be an insufficient excuse a long, long time ago.

Is Edward Coristine still at the social security agency? Last I'd heard there was a whistleblower complaint from the Chief Data Officer that Coristine had uploaded all Americans' names, date of birth, and SSN to a cloud server.

“Embedded.” Whatever. They’re called appointees. DOGE has become a catchall term for anyone why cares about efficiency and accountability.

No, they are not appointees. Appointees are nominated by the president and confirmed by the senate.
These guys are employees. They were employees of DOGE, and now they're employees of SSA and HHS and wherever else.

LOL at "accountability." The Politico story about Davis being fired by the White House but refusing to leave is nuts.

funny how their recommendations seem to actually have the effect of weakening the targeted agencies while spending more money... just redirecting where that money is going, to more favored vendors/contractors.

these people still around and the resulting damage is only going to increase.

DOGE should take aim at all the Feds who are on PTO after the shutdown.

yeah, sure. take aim at the folks who were told that there would be no lifting of the carry-over cap and thus must take leave or lose it? the very folks who just had to keep commuting to work with no pay for a month, the ones who kept everything from crashing and burning?

i mean, sure, once you accept that DOGEs goal is to destroy the american government, i suppose those ARE the people they should take out.
