How to get rid of crush? (Serious)

Anonymous
Is OP married? I can't find this.

If not married, OP are you much older than he is? Ie, he's in his 20s and you're like 48?

Do not think about person. Do not fantasize. Do not spend more time than absolutely necessary. This stuff can go on for years wasting your real life.

+1. Everytime he pops into your brain, shift your focus. Don’t get hooked on fleeting thought and let your imagination spin. If you let it, the thought will pass

I wished this worked. I have had a crush on the same man off/ on since I was 15, so 25 years this method doesn't work. Some people just get under your skin and you just have to live with it

You can’t get someone out of your head if they live in your heart.

I agree.

Sweetest thing I’ve read on DCUM. 💕

Or voting for trump

Actually voting for Trump is a plus. He is such a breath of fresh error from the divisive, race baiting, corrupt group that was moving the country backwards. Make America Great Again!

I am serious and not a troll. It is bothering me so much at this point. I just don’t want to care

My DH is kind, warm, and nice to his coworkers. A$$hole at home. Imagine it’s all an act.

something tells me that you are the A$$hole. who says stuff like that???

You need to spend more time around other men. I have a 10 year crush and it always went away when I was out dating other great guys.

Brush up your OLD profiles and try to schedule 2-3 dates a week.

+1 Trump's XW also once told the press that he's 8 inches, so that certainly won't help OP's dilemma...

I’ve got one of those, too. I only see him maybe quarterly anymore. We’re both happily married, kids, the works. But each time, it’s such a fun hour or so of conversation and catching up and it brightens my day for a few days afterwards. Going on 15 years of friendship.

I’m in the “enjoy it but don’t act on it” camp.

I’m in the “stay away from it because it’s dangerous” camp.

He’s quite the gentleman for using his diaper to conceal it.

Get over them by getting under someone else.

This doesn’t work the way it is supposed to. It works for most but not all.

Anonymous wrote:The way to overcome crushes is to enjoy the sensation of warm feelings you have. They will not last. Do not act on them in ways that are not allowed: touching, or being alone with him more than strictly necessary for your job. You are allowed to be happy when you see your crush, to enjoy spending time with them in public, and to look forward to seeing them the next day. It doesn't mean you don't love your own spouse and children, or want to leave, or anything of that nature - even if perhaps you fantasize sometimes of having a different life!

And then one day, feelings will lessen. That's all.

Thank you for this
I am single though is that worse?

Is he single?

Yes

So then what's the problem? Why would you not date?

Is it really that simple though?
I dont want to admit this
/op

OP, I know so many people who met through work! It's ok. It happens.

Are you worried because you feel like it's not reciprocated -- is that why you want it to go away?

I guess where's the problem here? If he's not married, go for it.
