Holiday gifts for 11 year old girl

For shoes, DS's friend (12) wears UGG clogs. I'm a clog hater so I don't see the appeal but some people like clogs and kids apparently love slip on shoes judging from the crocs I see.

DD loves lug mary janes but she's older. Would that appeal to an 11 YO?

Honestly, not really. I have a slightly older kid and out of a large friend group, only a couple girls are into much of the stuff on this list. They definitely all know about it, but aren’t necessarily interested.

My almost 11 dd is getting- Bubble skin care, Air Force 1s, new cleats, white crocs, clover bracelets, bracelet kit, swift albums, Nike socks, water bottle stickers, markers, flannel pjs - these were all on her Xmas list.

Same (my 13yo 8th grader hasn’t asked for anything on that list at any point.) Not claiming any high ground here-her list is mostly YouTuber merch and Hot Topic.

For the shoes OP get a gift card and let her choose her own.
My now 12yo is sporty and last year when she was 11 I got her a Dicks gift card. She was so happy to go and look at stuff. She’s not the type to wander the mall but sports store brought joy lol.

My non-makeup 12 year old went from toys to craft supplies, sports gear, and room decor. Jewelry and skincare/makeup did not fly at 10-11 with her.

Someone upthread mentioned and Owala and that's definitely the "it" water bottle at our school, even though Stanleys are still big as well. Both my 12 and 10 year old asked for an Owala this year and sporty kids always need water bottles.

I'm one of the posters upthread who said the fashion-y stuff would not be a hit, but my kid would be right there with yours. I don't get it, but Dick's is nirvana.

We also have a birthday/Christmas/hanukkah pile up over only 2 weeks. It’s awful! I think our 12 year old daughter has different interests than many (her 11 year old sister wants Kendra Scott jewelry, uggs, etc - all the stuff mentioned above), but here’s a complete list of slightly different gifts:

Different flavors of microwave popcorn, butter salt for popcorn, Judy Blume books (the 4 Fudge books), “the maze runner” book set, cmyk the fuzzies game, twister, cards against humanity family edition, little pots and potting soil for repotting her spider plant babies, a chia pet, a Christmas cactus, a few 1000 & 500 pc puzzles, Chinese zodiac press out book, blackwing pencils, bob Ross heat changing mug, headphones that look like cat ears, reading light, some “horrible histories” books, t-shirts with animals that she likes on then (cicadas, loons), a few packs of Pokémon cards, dungeons and dragons Lego mini figures (shes in the D & D afterschool club), a Lego bonsai tree, socks and underwear.

Maybe, maybe not. I never cared about the popular brands of my youth. Not all kids are into that stuff.

I mean that’s the whole point of the responses. The answers will be kid-specific. Not every 11 year old will be into the tween uniform, but at the same time not every 11 year old will be into the more individualized suggestions on this thread. The bottom line is no one should be judging the interests of a tween girl if they don’t align with what your tween would be interested in.

So many of these responses are very clearly the moms wanting their girls to be cool, though. It's very obvious.
