Based on the Financial Mgmt committee meeting they are putting into place a better Contract Mgmt system. It's supposed to be in testing soon. Don't know when it will come online because they need better Project/Program management.

This should be a priority for Taylor. After losing two highly qualified and experienced general counsels, McKnight settled for one of her cronies who has no experience in the type of law needed to be the GC for a school system.

I'm not sure I trust Taylor to make good hires given that he brought Essie back and it's clear she was at the center of the EV bus contract debacle. Even if I wanted to give her grace, her performance at the Council's Audit Committee hearing was abysmal.

MCAP is a state test. Not sure why MCPS has to get involved. You need to talk to your state representative.

There are still so many slimy characters that everyone knows are dishonest, corrupt and detrimental in CO. Edwards, Moran, Key, Williams. The current state of MCPS is more synonymous with organized crime than it is with public education.

So, no consequences for their financial mismanagement that hurts students. Time to vote out the current BOE.

These are things McKnight and Hull pushed through, and they're gone.

McKnight happily left with her awesome, lucrative package and landed at UMD at another cushy, high paying job.

MCPS General Counsel loves to hide, even though their hand is behind a lot of dysfunction in MCPS.

MCPS general counsel is the one that should be replaced for not reviewing the contract or if they did not clearly protecting their client’s interest.

There has been a revolving door of attorneys in the GC office over the past couple of years. They need competence and stability there!

Mcea needs to at least try to make the illusion that they follow the law. They can't even do that. But when teachers follow the law and open our mouths when kids are in danger we are fired. Double standard of the worse kind. They are covering up their inability to support safety and firing teachers.
