ICE arrests Bolivian man convicted of child sex crimes, Fairfax sheriff REFUSED 3 detainers

Why is a child-raper getting a suspended sentence and not an institutionalization?

If this convicted children abuser was in custody for 6 months as the law set forth, ICE and Fairfax would have 6 months to argue about it without losing this dangerous person.

Because he probably wouldn't last six month in jail. Child touchers get special treatment from their fellow inmates.

Sounds like justice to me.

Because our country truly does not care about protecting children.

"ICE arrested a Bolivian national convicted of sex crimes against a Virginia child and the Fairfax County Sheriff refused to honor three immigration detainers and released the convicted sex offender back into the community, 7News learned...ERO adds that in July, a Fairfax County judge sentenced Veizaga-Vargas to six months in jail for sexual assault of a child, and then the court suspended all six months of the sentence and the Fairfax County Sheriff refused to honor an immigration detainer."

Forget about the ICE detainer that FFX County refused. What is up with the judge's sentence of six-months in the county jail for sexual assault on a child only for the perp to serve no time. The court may as well have said, "go sexually assault all the children you want, for there is no repercussions. Yikes.

They don’t “refuse to honor” the detainer.

Usually what happens is the perp has a release date, they tell ICE but ICE is busy and it’s against the law to hold the released prisoner until ICE gets their sh!t together.

Local counties use to have dedicated ICE employees just waiting for criminals to be released so there was a clean handoff.

This stopped under Trump and has not been reinstated.

Well ICE probably thought they had up to six-months to retrieve the sexual predator. Who knew the judge basically gave the rapist a free pass.

If the alleged offender is under the age of 26, he should be released to the custody of his parents, because he is technically a juvenile offender.

You will see more and more stories like this.....

As long as we have sanctuary cities/counties/states with little to no consequence for these criminals combined with an administration who apparently does not believe in border enforcement, these cases will just increase.
