She already has photos of herself with children as ND doesn't need another. If you appreciated having someone who loved your children and took excellent care of them, allowing you to work and not worry, then give her a minimum of one week's salary. If you're too cheap to do this then do not expect her to ever be available as a sitter. I am not a nanny. |
Sure. |
Lol |
We gave our nanny a picture with the kids, a card made by them, and a week’s pay in cash. I asked around our neighborhood (DC) and that was what was typical. She still babysits for us frequently and we know we can call on her in the future.
I think it’s cheap not to give a cash parting gift, honestly. This is an expensive area. A nanny keeps your kids safe. Even if she has another job with no gap, she could surely use that money. It’s so weird to pinch pennies in this situation. |
A bonus check and a Christian Dior purse. |
Wow! Your generosity is underwhelming! Flowers your probably bought at a grocery store that are half dead and a nice note. Beyond underwhelming. |
I was a Nanny for 7 years and they gave me nothing. I gave them 2 months notice too.
I’ve had sitters now, as a parent and when they go to college I give a $50 gift card. They’re not Nanny’s though. Just HS age sitter for PT help. |
Money and good reference |
Money! Get real that she really wants another card with your kids tracing their hands and crappy half dead flowers. She will appreciate a monetary gift. |
Money. Always money |
lots of hugs plus one extra week check |
Wonderful nanny and all you are giving her are cheap flowers and handmade cards from children! Wow, just wow. |
Are you giving a year end bonus since it’s been a year and it’s the holidays? |
