I just started BC about three months ago too. I'm 49. Zero side effects. No spotting. Less mood changes than previously. If I were getting worse, instead of better, I'd be off it in a second.

Which one lucky you

Same age and intake Junel/hailey. It’s not low dose.

I’m the first PP and mine is not low dose either. My Ob specifically said no low dose. I think it’s generic so not sure which brand would match up.

Same here. I took about 15 years ago. I had the weirdest symptoms like migraine type headaches but also a few times I’d have these weird numbing / tingling sensations in 1/2 side of my body. One time was particularly strong that I thought I was having some micro stroke or something. Went to ER, got all clear. Told my gun who completely dismissed it as impossible. But i Never had them before BC, and never had them after I stopped using it.

I’m now 44 and have had an IUD for several years, highly recommend (although it also took a few months to stop spotting, but now no periods at all!).

I'm spotting constantly!!!!

I started at 45 and also felt crazy. Tried a copper IUD and would bleed for 3 weeks out of every 6. Finally just got my tubes removed.
