How bad my eating habits really are. I think he has some suspicions, but I've battled various severities of eating disorders since I was 17 (I'm 38 now) and have gotten VERY good at hiding things.

No. It sounds like he was dating the woman seriously and had intentions of getting married but she dumped him.

I was dating my now wife at that time, but also dating the other woman while studying in a different country. My family came to visit me while I was abroad and they said I could bring a friend while we traveled around the country, so I brought her. No one in my family has ever mentioned to my wife that the other girlfriend came along on this trip. I guess they have my back.

I actually don’t know why. We were long distance and sometimes she’d stop calling for a while, then after a month or two would call again, sort as if nothing had happened. I was also sort of off and on with my girlfriend who is now my wife at that time. At one point, I didn’t hear from the other girlfriend for over six months, so I decided to stick with my original girlfriend. After a few years, the other one actually did try to get in touch with me again, but by that time I was already married, so it was too late. My wife knows some of this, but doesn’t most of the details.
