National Harbor - crime

I'm not sure what sane people are still going there to gamble and get robbed and car jacked when leaving.

Wow, talk about racist. It is not in the ghetto. I live in DC and I'm offended by your comment. NH is quite nice. I don't gamble, but I've been to some shows at MGM and it was great.

You are such a jerk.

About as “vibrant” and “exciting” as WildWorld was BITD.

Just because you say "racist" doesn't make it the truth. You really sound brainwashed.

DP. It's possible that MGM and the shows are nice, while also being a place full of teens running wild.

The MGM is separate from the rest of National Harbor. It was my understanding the issue wasn’t at the casino but over in the main NH area.

Pentagon City Mall has been ceded to them. The minute the subway came to Tysons, Tysons I started to have gang violence. The expensive stores in Tysons II has held them at bay, but they still create issues at Maggianos.

How is it not racist to suggest that it's in the ghetto. What is your definition of the ghetto? Please tell me.

NP.

Why are you getting all butthurt here, when, in fact, crime is rampant at National Harbor ?

What is your solution to the problem, PP? Pretend crime does not exist??

Tons of people are taking the ferry from NH to OT, in the nice weather.

I’ve been to the casino a few times and have never once seen teens roaming around. Occasionally you see families shopping together. It’s mostly adults, and I’ve never seen bad behavior there. That said, I usually do brunch and then some gaming, or a very early dinner like 5 p.m. I’m not much for late nights so I can’t speak to the late night atmosphere there.

What does that have to do with teens running around in National Harbor? You can’t walk really from the harbor of National Harbor to the MGM. I assume there is a shuttle but MGM is its own exit. And I don’t see teens coming from the Old Town on the water taxis because 1) it’s expensive, 2) it’s super slow, and 3) the issue isn’t with teens coming in from Virginia, it’s with PG County teens.

You make zero sense.

Tell me you've never stepped foot in PG county without telling me you've never stepped foot in PG county. The neighborhoods directly surrounding National Harbor are quite nice. There are some lower-income pockets of PG inside the beltway and then further away, but right by NH, is a fine and safe community. Those neighbors were miffed that all access to national harbor was cut off for them (you used to be able to walk to the river from these neighborhoods).

I've been there plenty. I feel perfectly safe at National Harbor, but not at the outlets. I wish people in this area would see PG as the good location that it is. It could be turned around fairly quickly if people would move there instead of Stafford County or Loudoun.

Hahaha look the OG DC metro area native checking in with the Wild World name drop!

Hell yeah. I remember that place. Had a season pass in ‘89 or ‘90. I was sketchy AF even back then.
