You are Gen X. And anyways, the death of Kurt Cobain was not anywhere near the beginning of grunge so even if you are 1981 and somehow were aware of grunge music and plaid flannel in your middle school years, you were just slightly ahead of your time; grunge was definitely the latter part of Gen X. I think the earliest pop culture thing that was millennial was maybe reality tv? Gen X was definitely sitcoms. |
Class of 1990 means you were in high school in the 80s and a young adult in the 90s. Music in that time frame is classic which means more than 30 years old and still being plated. |
Who cares what you call yourself based on henyear you were born. It’s no different than zodiac signs, fun but not relevant. A lot of people who were born in the 1990s love 1990s music. Tool, Alice In Chains, Chris Cornell, Bush, Stone Temple Pilots. Music doesn’t belong to people born in a certain timeline. There’s plenty of music I love before I was born and also current music made from different generations. |
Won't most parents at some point be a parent in their 30s, 40s, and 50s? A small group of people become first time parents after 40, and a tiny portion of men become first time parents in their 50s (or 60s!). But the vast majority of parents will have their first child by 39. So... this is all of us.
I have empathy for parents at all ages and stages. I've also met ridiculous parents I disliked at every age, too. People put way too much stock in generational differences as being definitive. They are not. Being of any specific generation will not make you a good or bad parent. You will have to get in there and try your best and see how it all shakes out. |
Whatzzit say? Gen z loves screens for kids in the opposite? And for wut ages? |
Age doesn't matter as much after 25 as having a good temperament, a suitable partner, supportive family, no addiction and basic stable income. |
