I meant new construction. |
It says newly constructed. Discover the epitome of contemporary luxury at 258 N Barton St, Arlington, VA, a newly constructed |
Yeah it's a new construction. If you look at the listing pictures from 2022 the house looks very very different (it was a teardown listing). Also, not sure about this of course, but it seems like they may have spent around 1.2m on the construction of that awful ugly places (homes.com is amazing for not only seeing old listings, but also mortgage info). |
2.5 and they can’t even bother to stage it? |
Then why does it list reno details (built 1930, etc) and why does it highlight "new HCAC systems?" Is it just a sloppy listing? |
This house is horribly ugly and the yard is tiny. That would be hell for me to live there. I will just keep my house on multiple acres and avoid the misery. |
This house just makes me feel a bit better about my recent home purchase, which I thought was too much…now I see I got a deal. |
Not bad enough for your sprogs. |
It’s a “major remodel” per Zillow, not new construction. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/258-N-Barton-St-Arlington-VA-22201/12085979_zpid/

The exterior is hideous. |
4900 sq ft lot. Yikes. |
You would have to be an idiot to pay 825k for a substandard lot that would them force you to "renovate" to maintain square footage, rather than build new. I cannot imagine what ill-informed person would do this but they are going to have to take a bath on this one. Hopefully not in one of those hideous bathrooms. |
