College Instagram posts with grammatical errors

Spelling is covered by autocorrect so you don't need it anymore. Capitalization too.

Times have changed but I do think fundamentals are lost. People with a decent HS education were able to express themselves clearly in writing but I see that less now.

I am a professional writer and editor with a graduate degree in English and I often post something that turns out to have a grammatical error (I especially tend to misspell homophones these days). I do not put time and effort into SM posts (or posts here), and I'm not going to bother to go back over them and edit out any mistakes. A sm post is not a journal article (and I've edited more than my fair share of those).

I'll add that in my experience, most "concern" over grammar is simply someone grasping the opportunity to be smug.

Agree. And I’m a professional editor, too.
