I thought it was odd that a supposedly light hearted show delved rather deeply into depression, anxiety, panic attacks, alcoholism, abuse, suicide, family estrangement, homophobia....

To some extent but, for me at least, not in a way that felt heavy or hard to grapple with. It’s mostly a comedy with heartwarming moments, an easy watch. I wouldn’t think that most people would find the content disturbing.
