It'll be Tim Scott. Rs like token diversity and he's completely detached from reality.

Agreed on Scott. And that should make us all very nervous re: the Black vote.

Because a best selling author with a Ron Howard produced biopic made about him, who was beloved by even mainstream Dems until he ran for the Senate, would be so horrible, right? I’m sure he’d do nothing to win votes in the Midwest or that his Indian America wife would have zero cachet in a place like NoVA and other places with large Indian and South Asian communities.

Dems liked him as a documentarian into Trumptopia, not as a political leader.

The point is that he’d get Trump way more votes than someone like Mike Pence. He’d also crush Kamala Harris in a debate.

Kamala Harris: former prosecutor.

J.D. Vance: grievance-holding guy who wrote a book.

Marine Corps veteran. Lawyer. Venture capitalist. Ivy League grad. Father.

And that book he wrote resonated with millions of Americans. I think he has a better hold on the average American conscience than Kamala does.

Think what you will of his politics, but don't diminish his accomplishments.

I think the problem is that 3/5 of those items are hard negatives for much of the GOP base. It won't matter in the primaries, but it might suppress turnout in the general, particularly if any voters are feeling that Trump himself is out of touch with their experiences.

I think the bigger issue, however, is that the guy's got some skeletons. Any decent opposition researcher will have a field day. Let's pray the Trump campaign doesn't think to vet him particularly well ahead of time. If nothing else, it would be entertaining.

Howard grad. Lawyer. Prosecutor. Vice president. Stepmother. (Kamala Harris, that is.)

I'm not diminishing his accomplishments (aside from "venture capitalist", which is neither an accomplishment nor a qualification for understanding average Americans). I just think your assessment that he'd "crush Kamala Harris in a debate" is ridiculous.

Puhlease. He would destroy her.

Same energy as the random men who believe they could totally beat Serena Williams in tennis.

Serena Williams has said herself that the 600th ranked man would wipe the floor with her so not a good analogy.

Yep, exactly the same energy as the random men who believe they could totally beat Serena Williams in tennis.

The same woman who could barely get 10% of the vote in any Democrat primary despite every major media outlet fawning over her 24/7 after she announced her presidency. Tulsi Gabbard ended her campaign and Tulsi isn’t half as smart or half as good of a politician as JD Vance. Please.

Since you missed the bus and are still standing at thge stop, I'll ask again.

You think the loser is the one who sits on the SC, not the impotent joke of a lady who has been muzzled for 4 years because her own party knows what a fool she is?
