Haven't been to McDonald's since December 2023

There used to be one about a block and a half from my apartment, and even with that, I basically went to get fries like once a year. It matters to me what I put into my body. I can make sweet potato fries at home that have way less additives.

Road trip to Ohio recently. It was the only thing the whole family would eat so not much debate there.

1976. My parents were getting a divorce and my father took me and my little sister for a kids happy meal. Then he moved out the next day. I’ve never been inside a McDonald’s since then. Wow, never really thought about this before.

A few weeks ago. Breakfast sandwiches are the best at McD's!

Burger King has a 2 for $5 Whopper Jr sale right now.

I love going to mcdonalds in europe. Nothing quite so delightful as sitting there nursing a beer watching the world go by in a restaurant that used to be an old palace. If only they would bring the Big Breakfast with hot cakes platter to EU mcdonalds, it would be perfect.

We don't go on long car rides. We fly, and bring a bunch of snacks onto the plane. Dh and I are both foodies, so we're more likely to make a milkshake or fries at home. I don't understand your point about "how people ... move ..." Why would moving houses necessitate going to McDonalds?

DP but there are certain situations where your family needs to eat immediately, you don't have access to a kitchen, and there's very little open or nearby. Like if you spent the day moving and it's 7:30 and you can't cook because there's no food in the house and you need to eat now, not in 40 minutes when a pizza shows up. The thing about McDonald's is that it's incredibly fast-- you can be eating within a few minutes of placing your order.

I work at an elementary school. I used to grab a fountain drink for a $1 and a hamburger for $1.59 or if I was really hungry a Mc Double for around $2.00 before Covid once a week when I didn't have time to pack my lunch and needed to stay really late after school.

Last year I went every other month, and I have only gone once in 2024. I live in California now and it was ridiculously expensive for a basic meal. I haven't even gotten paid 10% more since pre-covid while fast food prices are literally 100% more. Instead I go to the supermarket and quickly pick up something there.

Okay, that would never happen to us. Firstly, we are city people. There's no such thing as "very little open or nearby" in places we live or go. Secondly, if we were moving we would place an Instacart order to be delivered within an hour of us arriving at the new house. Thirdly, since we have kids, DH or I always have some snacks with us. Even though our kids are in upper elementary it's just habit at this point. Today while I was out there was dried mango and mixed nuts in my bag. If you operate as if fast food is not an option you'll find other solutions.

Child abuse. It's probably the first place they'll go when they break free, if they aren't already sneaking there with their friends.

Actually they are grossed out by it and have no interest. But yeah total child aBuSe

This is the second use of the term “nuggies” in this thread. Are you the same poster, or is this actually a term in common parlance?

This is the other "nuggies" poster and she also refers to her children as "littles" so it's like just how some people talk.
