Do you have any idea just how many rats Brown has? |
Have you seen Brown’s research levels? |
Someone sad. |
Nonsense |
Georgetown because of major, internship opportunities, career options. |
Very healthy mindset. OP, this is a great point….With these two choices, your kid will be fine with either. It seems that most kids end up loving where they end up. I’m Sure if this kid had ended up at Georgetown, they would be saying ‘so glad I chose GU.’ |
We have them where we live in Arlington. Anywhere in an urban area you will find them. Restaurants and construction and density. Totally disgusted by the sheer number I saw on a street in NYC recently. |
I agree with this. But if they really want to move away from home, go to Brown. They can live at home in the summers and get great DC internships. |
GU and GW scoop up most of the internships in DC because they have them year round. |
Obviously there is a question. |
cmon folks - Brown is ranked higher, that means it’s a better school in all regards and a better choice for everyone! |
Providence is the capitol of Rhode Island.Yes, it's a small state, but Brown is the most prestigious of the colleges in Providence and it is fairly easy to get an internship in state government.See the example here.https://career-center.brown.edu/jobs-internships
If you do want to focus on DC, the Brown in DC semester may be of interest. It's one of several internship programs.https://polisci.brown.edu/undergraduate/research-and-internships |
