Genius rock star?! Biggest band last 50 years?! We're drinking the hard stuff a wee bit early today aren't we? ![]() |
I really find OPs obsession with youth and fertility disturbing. Focus on popping out your own babies and everyone else will focus on themselves - cool? |
Exactly |
Are you listening? Not everyone wants kids. Worry about your own fertility |
I mean, Coldplay is objectively one of the most commercially successful bands of the last 30 years. They were a hit machine. "Biggest band of the last 50 years" might be an overstatement, but it's in the ballpark. Also he's not THAT much older than her. He's 46 and she's 33. It's not like he could be her dad or something. |
Maybe she really likes him. In interviews, she comes across as quite genuine.
Or maybe she likes Chris Martin because he has an estimated worth of $160 million. Yes, that is not a typo. |
I hate to tell you, but fertility clinics are crawling with beautiful women. |
He is a genius, yes. 50 years was maybe a stretch, more like 30 years. Over 100 million albums sold, but I bet his songs make more than almost any modern band off residuals and royalties from commercial ads, TV shows and movies. It doesn’t get bigger than Chris Martin. |
Yes, which is sad. They should have been making babies 10 or 15 years earlier. Naturally. |
idk who owns the Coldplay catalog but it’s gotta be worth a billion plus dollars. |
They should do whatever TF they want to do with their bodies. Sit down. |
I was trying to figure out if PP was saying that $160 million was a lot - or a little bit - of money. ![]() |
Perhaps she really likes the BTS Wootteo plushie that he takes to every show. |
Makes perfect sense to me why the Olsen sisters don’t have kids. They seem deeply impacted by the way they grew up. I get the feeling they’ve never been in a place where they didn’t feel ambiguous about the stability of their lives and how they could raise a child whose childhood wasn’t messed up like theirs. There is one relentless poster on this thread and others who gets angry when people speculate why mid-late thirties female actresses don’t seem to be pursuing parenthood. The answer is because celebrity or not, women don’t have forever to make the decision like a man does, which said poster does not seem to understand. It’s fine if someone doesn’t want to have kids, but it’s a fair question to ask about women of a certain age who need to at least preserve their fertility - ideally with a partner- even if they do want kids down the road. Said poster also makes it seem like it’s impossible for an established, thirty something woman to maintain her Hollywood career while having kids, which is just so inaccurate- see Reese Witherspoon, cate blanchett, Kate winslet, Nicole Kidman, and countless others. |
