Yep. My boss texted me too. And it’s a three day weekend. P!sses me off.

Do you get a bonus?

My brother was a demanding but fair boss. But he has times he needs stuff done off hours. He give good bonuses.

My current job operates in 30 countries. Juneteenth for instance is 100 percent meaningless in 29 of the 30 countries. Fathers Day is meaningless for most of company.

A text is a two minute response.

Not the OP, but yes my boss gives good bonuses so I respond to him whenever. It's not about whether the text takes 2 minutes. It's about disconnecting from work for an actual weekend. Emotionally, spiritually. Focusing on family and fun without this constant nagging recollection that work and ALL THAT ugh is waiting for me. Hoovering in the background.

Unless it's truly critical it is much more considerate to wait until at least a work day - if not work hours - to bother people, now that we can never really disconnect.
