Well', duh.... 1. Oakton. ...nobody else matters, do they? |
It all depends on transfers/development and maybe even some freshmen. Based on returning top players, I would think in no particular order that Madison, Robinson, Centreville, Woodson, West Potomac and Battlefield will all be strong. Some of them have questions, but they all have some top players scheduled to return. Of course this board will say Oakton, Battlefield and bbq platter…. |
I predict Battlefield will again have an easy path to the state final game and then lose again. |
App predict Battlefield will have at least seven Fairfax teams on their schedule all being in the top 10 and go either seven Eno or six and one and shut a lot of you naysayers up about their easy path. |
Battlefield = 90s Buffalo Bills What's the future odds on 4 consecutive trips to the finals and lose them all? |
How bout 7 consecutive 5-2 |
You all don’t realize what’s coming in next few years. Total domination at HS level. |
Lots of unknowns which obviously can play a factor into top teams. In no particular order:
Madison Battlefield Yorktown Centreville South Lakes Westfield Robinson Woodson I think lots of teams will be evenly matched, so it all depends on the “other” factors. |
Glad Oakton got their glory this year. Because they are going to be horrible. |
Madison, Battlefield, Woodson, West Po and CVille. |
Rumor is that Yorktown getting some key starters back from the state championship team that were injured and did not play this past season. |
They also had their 25 Cap Blue goalie transfer out to Stoneridge. |
I believe yorktown will bounce back next year as they were young this year and supposedly getting some players back they lost to injury.
One team that surely will drop to basically nothing and hate to say it, is oakton. Should be interesting again with several teams somewhat equal to each other. |
I predict oakton will be home after Districts listening to "Glory Days" and eating subs with extra cheese. |
Not so fast, my daughter will be playing in college, so no bias here. Oakton will have some holes to fill on defense, but with #21, #12, #8, and #3, Oakton has enough on offense to make some noise. Actually, #3 has the potential to be similar to this year’s #11. She needs to be able to better maintain possession through contact, but her speed, fluidity, and stick skills are elite. Centerville #22 probably makes them the favorite, but Concorde teams shouldn’t sleep on Oakton. Their JV team had a good season too. |
