Love love love this hotel. At that price, it's a no brainer. We've stayed there 4 times now I think with young kids. The kids club is excellent, although it was closed for a while due to Covid (not sure if it re-opened?) Most of the complaints about this hotel are only a few restaurants onsite, which can become repetitive (check out the golf club's restaurant in addition to the restaurant's) and slow, somewhat uneven service. You may have to ask a few times for things, or food takes longer than expected. But that's also just "island time" |
Thank you so much! We’re looking for a resort to visit after attending a wedding in OSJ. A few months ago the st Regis was above $1000 but then dropped to $750 and now $550. It’s unclear if the kids club is running but that’s not a deal breaker. We have young kids and don’t like to eat at restaurants multiple times per day—that may be our only issue but maybe I can sneak a lot of snacks in with us to supplement room service. |
Try the Aurora on Anguilla (formerly the Cuisinart). |
No way this is under 1k a night? It was when I stayed a few years back and if that price point is still possible there, GO. It is amazing |
Second for half moon - it’s lovely and Montego Bay is easy to get to |
We’d eat breakfast and then snack all day around the pool, and eat an early dinner. The “lake house” activities also are often overlooked but absolutely don’t miss them - one of our kids favorite spots at the resort. Just get a golf cart to take you there. |
DP here. The pp is right. $1k is no longer the going rate of a luxury hotel. I priced out some hotels and many were more like $5-7k per night. Insane! |
Just wanted to add that we went to an all inclusive in Mexico for $1k per night. |
Rosewood was over $1k/night almost 20 years ago when we honeymooned. |
Pp here. We stayed at Rosewood 8 years ago and it was over $2k then. |
Grace Bay Club and Shore Club in Turks are both amazing and in your budget during off season. |
Grace Bay is 2k or more per night for a one bedroom suite. |
We were not impressed with rosewood Baha mar. Crazy prices and then not enough chairs by the pool for all the guests? Round Hill in Jamaica is wonderful and has good summer rates |
Rosewood in Mayakoba. If too expensive, consider Andaz in until same place. |
My braggiest, showiest FB friend goes on and on about this place. I could never go there just on principle. Plus I could never afford it - lol. |
