Why are the Sumo oranges horrible this year?

Got some good ones yesterday at TJ in NoMa. They don't look as pretty as they sometimes do in the outside, but great inside. |

I've been getting mine at Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Smith Markets and Sams Club in a 6 pack.
They have all been remarkably good and worth the price. The Sams Club purchase was 6 for approx. $7.79 an unbelievable price!!! My last 2 purchases were 6 packs at Sam's Club in Salt Lake City. I hope to refrigerate a 6 pack and pray it makes it for 3 weeks as I will be gone but also know the season is ending soon and will be anxious to get home to have my final taste of the Sumo's until next season if they hold up. |
