Post on Facebook Buy Nothing or local "Free!" groups, note the ones with a missing piece. If there are no takers, then recycle.

It is amazing what people will take for free.

Yes, you can post on Nextdoor, or buy nothing. FWIW I do puzzles occasionally and I don't care if a piece is missing. The thing to do is to put a sticker on the front where the missing piece is.
