DS goes to AAP Center. DD starts Kindergarten in the fall at the nearby elementary school.
Is there anyway for DD to attend the K in the AAP Center school? |
Not unless you live within the AAP school boundaries or there is some extremely unusual issue. The majority of AAP kids have siblings, so imagine if their parents all wanted their kids at the same school for convenience and logistical reasons. That's why they offer a bus from your base school. |
I've heard it can be done if the center school is not at capacity and therefore is accepting "pupil placements," has no SACC wait-list, the parents work full-time, and the base school has no space in SACC. |
It is listed as an official reason for transfer. If the school is open for transfer, it should be relatively simple. |
We were approved by my kids base school and the sibling's AAP center. There was ample sapce in the younger sibling's grade (kinder). The district denied the transfer. We did not receive the official denial until the week befor school started. Good luck! Even if the school has space, the district level might say no. |
What if your DD doesn't get into AAP? Your DS will go to middle school, and there would be no reason for the center school. |
Lemon Road is accepting sibling transfers for their new AAP center kids. |
