Which double stroller for travel? And other questions...

Anonymous
Although we traveled often with our first, we are traveling for the first time with two kids soon. (2 1/2 year old and 6 month old) It is a quick trip, but we are renting a car (so need car seats) and will be walking a fair amount when we get there (so need the double stroller). A few questions from those who have done this:

What kind of double stroller works best in the airport? We have a Phil and Ted and a double umbrella. Generally, I like the P&T better for ease of use (and it will be better in our destination), but am wondering if it is too big to deal with in the airport or if the umbrella is better so both kids can lay down if needed (we're flying in the evenings).

Unfortunately, the only stroller we have that is compatible with our infant car seat is our Double Bob. Definitely not bringing that on the plane! So, we're going to have to carry 2 seats. Should we check both seats before security? Keep the toddler's seat to use on the plane? (The baby is a lap baby.) When we flew with just one child, I usually put the car seat in the overhead bin to avoid damage/loss/etc. I'm thinking that just isn't realistic with 2 car seats...

Any other suggestions for travel with two little ones?
