Okay, Honest opinion needed. Did the kids really enjoy it or was it so..soo.. and any problems?

Hope you're still around, OP.

Yes, Camp Schmidt is worth it - provided your DC's teachers are amped up for the experience. I am a former PGCPS 5th grade teacher and have spent many wonderful days and nights at Camp Schmidt over the course of about 10 years. I considered it a real labor of love to take the kids each year. That said, the experience is largely up to the school to plan and support, so if the teachers and parents have done it before and are excited to go, I predict a good time for the students.

+1. Went to Camp Schmidt as a 5th grader and remember it being a ton of fun! Now I work for PGCPS...visited the camp the other week for a meeting...still lots of great hands-on conservation & ecosystem activities, as well as team-building, etc. Unfortunately though, the awesome confidence course has to be rebuilt (built in the 70's--definitely beyond its heyday).
