Looking to rent in DC - where do I start?

We absolutely love our neighborhood (SW Waterfront), but we are seriously looking at moving to get some additional space. We'd love to stay in SW, but its a little too pricey. Where do we look for good rental? Surprisingly, craigslist has not been that great of a source.
Is there some other website or guide that we should be looking at? |

I used CL...but would love to hear other insights otherwise put the word out that you're looking - you just might have friends of friends of friends who know somebody wanting to rent
