Do they know if you check them without being registered to twitter. I sound like a stalker. Just have a relative we are keeping tabs on to make sure he's OK even though he has chosen drugs over us. He tweets often. |
No, they would not know. |
I doubt it since I don't even have a twitter account and I regularly check my nanny's account which is public. |
Nope. And despite the ads saying otherwise, nobody can tell who has checked their Facebook profile.
However! If you look at someone's LinkedIn profile, they CAN see that (even with their free account). |
That shows up on LinkedIn? How would they know it's me if I'm not a LinkedIn member? It's not like they know my IP address. |
+1. I thought you had to upgrade your LinkedIn account to see who has viewed your page? |
Seriously? |
Sorry, maybe I should have been more clear. If you, AS A LINKEDIN MEMBER, are logged in and check another member's profile, THEN they can see who checked their profile. But if you're not a member or not logged in, then they can't. |
OP,
Twitter, no. Facebook, I don't think so but I read in the tech press that Facebook is working on changing that. LinkedIn, as described by 9:11 but actually I think you need a certain level of membership to get a listing of who's checked your profile. Yes, it's confusing! |
Not.true
twitter and fb can.both tell |
How can twitter tell? I don't have a twitter account and if I find their tweets via a google search, what will show up that indicates that I checked their account? |
Yes, they can. I had this happen the other day. |
Someone could tell you checked their Twitter account when you were not registered/not signed in to Twitter? |
Please share how this is done. I'd love to know. |
Whoever said you can tell with FB is lying, before anyone gets nervous.
