I know, i know; this should be easy, but I hate making salads for just me and DH.
i'm making an arrabiata sauce with gnocci and will have fresh mozzarella on top. garlic bread on the side seems really carby. in my fridge i have a bag of carrots, a half-pack of the stir-fry veggies from whole foods (made it with chicken last night), a tub of sour cream, some yogurt, the aforementioned cheese... any thoughts? |

Steam the veggies.
Saute the veggies with a little olive oil and garlic. |
| Sometimes if I don't feel like making a salad with my pasta I just put more veggies in the sauce and then puree it. You can even add salad greens into sauce and they wilt right in. The carrots and peppers (I'm assuming in the stir fry veggies) would be a nice addition to a sauce. |
| Pasta is so filling I never even bother with sides. Forgo them! |
| As a PP said, I love to eat hot pasta and sauce on top of cold salad greens - it wilts the green a little - so delish. |
Exactly. If anything, a small bowl of soup does the trick (or a sweet treat for dessert if feeling nibbly an hour later). |
| I typically steam broccoli or asparagus with pasta. Sometimes I mix them together. They don't really need any seasoning. |
| Grate raw carrot. add salt, pepper, wine vinegar and a little olive oil. eat it first as a salad. |
