Our hope is that DC will go to university abroad, in Europe, where we're from, mostly because it will likely be much cheaper. So we haven't been putting money aside in a 529 because that is only for American colleges, right? It's not out of the question that DC will go to school in the U.S., but a slim chance. However, this is still 15 years down the road.
If you're in a similar situation, do you save money in any special type of account, or just in a regular savings account that is dedicated to college savings? |

We save in a 529. It is not just for US colleges. You can use it for many foreign ones - e.g. all UK universities are there.
