Labor cost on kitchen remodel

Is there a formula for estimating labor costs on a kitchen remodel? I heard something about x% of cabinet costs. Our cabinets are costing 20k, othe appliances and sink, tile, coutertop,etc another maybe 20. Contractor wants to charge about 30, which seems high.

Nope. I disagree, it depends on what kind of jobs it needs to be done

It totally depends on what they're doing. Are you moving walls or plumbing, or just swapping out what you have?

Of course, contractors know you $20k for just the cabinets, that's the indication that you are somewhat wealthy, so the estimate would generally high, common sense ripp off
