Overdosing on Obama commercials!

Gag- enough! I had the TV on several stations (and I noticed this before tonight) and did some paperwork that I wasn't involved on the show- but- gag- overdose on Obama commercials! I maybe saw one McCain to 15 Obama- you may think that works but personally I find this annoying and the ads weren't all that! I had read on cnn that Obama had this huge budget- and if the strategy is to gag us with commercials- well- to me it backfired (I am watching one now AGAIN- ah-- please stop!)

I agree...

I'm an undecided moderate and am tempted to vote mccain just because obama's campaign has been so obnoxiously in my face all the time lately! I'm sick of it. Too many commercials/ads.

It all depends on where you live--I'm in a "purple" state and it's a pretty even mix, during the Today show in the morning if I turn it on it's one ad after another. Throw in our senate race and the other ballot issues here and that's all there is on TV!

I miss our DirecTV/TiVo box--for years I didn't see any commercials, but we had to switch to cable to get HD with DVR and it sucks!

I have three HD with DVR boxes from Directv. My hubby and I haven't had cable in about 6 years. Switch back!

It's not the same as the old one--we want the real TiVo, where you can have 2 receivers and flip back and forth between channels without missing anything. Supposedly TiVo and DirecTV are working out their differences, so hopefully we'll be able to go back soon.

Personally I could give a rat's ass about the HD, but DH had to go and get a 109" projection system, so he has to have it in his man cave.

Isn't Virginia a purple state? All we get are Obama commercials. And now we are in for a 1/2 hour prime-time love fest. Great! Can't wait to see all the hagiography!

I can't remember the details, but wasn't there a little bit of hoopla in the beginning about how the candidates were both going to agree on sound campaign financing. Both agreed to certain caps and the funds actually came from the DNC/RNC, but Obama went back on his word and decided he wanted to receive contributions directly from supporters. And that is why Obama ended up with a ton of money.

Maybe I didn't remember the story correctly or misconstrued the facts. Sorry if I did, but I thought for some reason that was the reason.

As for the Obama commericals. I don't even bother listening to them. You have to read between the lines with those things and also look at the sources they are citing and exactly how much of the information/facts are accurate and current. The commercial ads have 30 sec. to grab your attention, shock you, make you mad, and calm you by reassuring you that Obama can save us all.
