New to Bethesda and desperately seeking local spots for good bubble tea. Wiling to head into DC or up to Rockville, just not sure of where to go.
Thanks! |
I think Maria's in Rockville has bubble tea. It's a Chinese , HOng Kong style joint - they have wonton noodle soup, congee and other types of Cantonese food. Not bad for this area.

The best bubble tea is at the Eden Center in Falls Church. Go to the Song Que Deli if you are ever in the area.
Shanghai Teahouse in Glover Park has good bubble tea. Just drive down Wisconsin and it's across from Whole Foods.

OP, thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them out. We used to live in Japan and took several trips to Taiwan...totally spoiled us in terms of bubble tea. Good to know there are some local options.
jumbo jumbo cafe up on Rockville pike is pretty good (they also have taiwanese fried chicken)
Another vote for Jumbo Jumbo
Maria's poster here -- thanks for posting about jumbo jumbo! It looks great.
Try A&J in Rockville, especially if you want good traditional Taiwanese food.

I've tried a number of places, but IMO only Ten Ren Tea knows how to properly cook the bubbles. There's one in Rockville. Haven't tried Jumbo Jumbo, but it looks interesting!
