Anyone have experience with these? I like the idea of being able to flush away dog poop instead tossing it along wih a plastic bag into the garbage. |
Most of the poop bags that are being sold with the little holders you put on the end of the leashes are biodegradable. You can go to Amazon and get like 700 bags with a dispenser for $25. I have no idea if they are flushable. We've never tried it. I just throw ours out in our cans. |
Do not flush plastic even if it claims to be flushable. You will ruin your septic system. |
OP here. There are companies that make bags that break down in water. See

Who in this area is possibly on a septic system?? That is not exactly the norm for a major metro area. |
Yah, they're really really $$ like 30¢ a bag. Insane. Regular bags are like 3¢. Even a paper lunch bag that would biodegrade faster would be cheaper per bag. So stupid. |
It'll stink up your outhouse, as well. |
I use flush puppies because there are no outdoor trashcans in my neighborhood. They're more expensive than regular bags. But, to me it's worth it to not have to throw a bag of dog poop in my garage trash can. We don't have a septic system though. |
Actually, if you buy a large quantity, the price goes down accordingly -- to about 11 cents per bag. |
