Property Management Question

My parents are retired and own a few commercial properties. They currently use a property management company to over see it. But they would eventually like me to take over that role. I am working part-time and this sounds like it would be a good gig for me, while I've put my career on hold to stay home with my kids, etc.
My question is how do I get started? I'd like to take an online course to get a feel for what is involved. If there are any property managers out there, can you recommend a course? I'd hate to waste my time/money on a course that was useless. I'd also appreciate any sort of general advice you have about property management. Thanks. |
