I love the guy, I think that he is funny, cute and with me he is totally preaching to the Choir, but can he even try to appear neutral? |
The point isn't to be neutral. He wants to be the liberal version of O'Reilly. Which is not a bad thing.
There has been an issue regarding the overlap between the straight news of NBC and the left-leaning commentary at MSNBC. Had MSNBC been some different network not affiliated with NBC (or any older news organization), I think it would be seen differently, as a liberal counterpoint to FOX and filling a gap. But since there is the connection with the NBC network, there is some conflict about just how far can MSNBC go and not influence the public's feelings about the NBC brand in general. |
Neither Reilly or O'Reilly would have even half their audiences if they toned down their outrageous partisanship. It would be professional suicide for either to try to tone himself down. |
I meant "Olberman or O'Reilly". |
Funny? Cute? Goodness, I guess there is truth that there is someone for everyone. Personally I flip the channel whenever he appears, he is like nails on a chalk board (remember those?) to me. |
