Spotting before periods

Anonymous
Hey guys. I had my fibroids removed via laproscopic myomectomy in late July and am getting ready to TTC in February. I've been spotting a few days before my period for the past few months, sometimes as soon as I ovulate (I'm temping). Oh, and my LP is usually no more than 10 days. I'm going to see my doctor in a few weeks, but I'd like to get the opinion of you guys. Reading past posts, it seems like getting pregnant might be an issue without the help of something like clomid. I'm soon turning 38 and worry about waiting too long to go on it if all these other signs already point to it. of course, things could work out fine and I could get pregnant in a few months. What do you think? Just see what the doc says or actively push something like clomid? Thanks in advance.

Could be a polyp. That's what caused mine.

Could be luteal phase defect

Have your progesterone levels checked.

Thanks guys, OP here. I had a polyp removed last year (that's what led to the fibroid discovery). I'll ask about checking my progesterone levels.

This was me but without any history of polyps or fibroids. I have shorter cycles (24-26) and spot 4-5 days prior to steady flow. My LP was also 10 days on avergae. After 4 miscarriages, had my progesterone checked and it was only 7. They put me on clomid, got pregant and took progesterone supplements for the first trimester. Success at long last! Good luck!!
