Would you go to work for 2-3 hours?

Assume nothing pressing needs to get done, but "presence" is something boss values. Would you go?
Anonymous
Yes if you will get points with the boss and your commute is not terrible.

No, if facetime is not valued and/or commute is more than 30 minutes.

If my boss valued presence, then yes.

Yes.

Yes. It's a short amount of time and you can save your out of the office days for when you really need it later.

OP here. Should also add that commute is about 1.25 hours each way.

I'm hourly, so I'd actually lose money going.

With that commute and the fact you're paid hourly, I change my answer to no. Doesn't make sense if you get to spend 3 hours on the road so you can be at work for 3 hours, and still lose money. Can you work from home?

In the words of my dearly departed BFF (in my head), HELL TO THE NO! Face time be damned.

Only is you are up for promotion soon or have some other reason to need the face time. Otherwise, I would focus on providing quality work and maintaining your sanity.

Yes. I live 10 minutes from my job so it's not that big of a deal.

Depends if you care what the boss thinks.

How is that losing money? I don't follow. Unless gas adds up to more than OP's salary?
