McCain Palin ads on DC Urban Moms and Dads

To my surprise I loaded the Recent Topics page and was greeted by huge pictures of SARAH PALIN on both sides of the screen. Ack! I reloaded and the next ad was an Anti-Obama ad from McCain Palin.

Click through early and often--think of it as draining funds from the McCain campaign.

I hope so too. But, since they book the ads through Google, I never know exactly how much I get from them. But, click like crazy. Since Palin is aspiring to be a DCUM, its only fair that they support us.

Why don't we invite Mrs. Obama and Mrs. Biden to join DCUM? Palin is too noisy and would make this forum have less smart participants.

Okay, color me a confused internet ignoramus who is probably the last one in the world to not understand this, but how does clicking on the ads cost McCain money? Are they paying for the ad per click or something?

They are likely paying per click. Even if they aren't, clicking on the ads increases our click through rate which is one factor in determining how much we get paid (that's true of all ads, not just McCain's).
