“The New York State Commission on Prosecutorial Conduct is recommending that Monroe County DA Sandra Doorley be publicly censured, as questions swirl as to how long she’ll remain in office.
The disciplinary action stems from a traffic stop in April of 2024, when she drove to her home in Webster as an officer tried to pull her over and argued with the officer from her garage. Doorley was seen on video refusing to follow the officer’s orders, emphasizing that she was “THE D.A.”, cursing at the officer, and calling the Webster police chief. When she was given a traffic ticket, she responded by saying she would be “prosecuting myself.” The Commission on Prosecutorial Conduct found that Doorley engaged “in illegal conduct that adversely reflects on her honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer.” https://www.rochesterfirst.com/monroe-county/nys-prosecutor-commission-recommends-censure-for-monroe-county-da-sandra-doorley/ |
