Kylie’s dress/costume (because this is really just a big costume party) is amazing IMO.

“ Kylie Jenner’s appearance at the 2026 Met Gala was less a red-carpet moment than a study in living sculpture. Wearing a custom Schiaparelli creation, she embodied the house’s longstanding fascination with surrealism, anatomy, and the transformation of the female form into art. The gown’s sculpted bodice appeared almost carved rather than sewn, evoking the cool permanence of classical marble while retaining the fluid sensuality of couture.

The design immediately called to mind the Venus de Milo, the ancient Greek statue celebrated for its beauty, poise, and enigmatic incompleteness. Like the Venus, Jenner’s silhouette balanced softness with monumentality. The corseted structure mimicked the contours of a classical torso, creating the illusion that the dress had been molded directly onto the body, as though lifted from stone and brought to life. Schiaparelli’s craftsmanship transformed fabric into something architectural — an effect that blurred the line between fashion and museum artifact.

What made the look especially compelling was its tension between antiquity and modernity. The Venus de Milo represents an enduring ideal of beauty from the ancient world, while Jenner, as one of the defining celebrity figures of the digital era, represents contemporary image culture at its most amplified. By merging these references, Schiaparelli created a visual dialogue across centuries: the timelessness of classical art meeting the immediacy of modern celebrity.

The result was one of the most memorable interpretations of the evening — not simply because it was glamorous, but because it carried intellectual and artistic weight. Schiaparelli did not merely dress Kylie Jenner; the house turned her into a contemporary marble goddess, walking the Met steps as though she had stepped out of antiquity itself.”

Kylie’s dress is ugly. It doesn’t matter what is said. It’s ugly.
Kendall’s dress was better but the nipple bustier looks stupid. Same for nipple bras. They’re called “daring”. They look stupid. I’m tired of all the plastic and fakeness.

Her face is so weird from the plastic surgery. I am trying to find the right primate that resembles her now. Maybe this one.

Hot take: I actually think she would have looked better if she had her breast actually more exposed or if the bodice had been painted maybe. This halfway thing with the nipple shaping on thr corset just doesn't work, it's giving me Barbie.

I thought they looked more like a bride themed stripper or woman being raped on her wedding day (dress torn off in front) than they did Venus de Milo. It was like the worst example of violent male gaze, not a tribute to female sexuality. I hated those looks. A million better ways to evoke Venus de Milo.

She still looks trashy with those implants and face work.

But also, that works because she is a piece of human trash.

Do you need glasses or something?

This is true. The statue is really beautiful and ethereal. Heidi Klum just looks like a freaky version of the person who dresses up like the Statue of Liberty in NYC. Really gross.

Women have no value unless they're doing everything they can to be pretty, right? You don't get out of your backwards little town do you?

It is just SO boring. Why couldn't she pull this out for any other black tie event? This is the Met Gala! And she is a host! With a gazillion dollars! I expect better than something that looks like a prom dress.

Could not disagree more. Looks like she used Prime to get that dress at her door.

Boring makeup boring hair boring dress.

I like this dress, the color and jewel strap especially. It's plain and chic. I think this is one of her best looks. The problem is that her figure is so cartoonish. She is not built like a model/mannequin! She doesn't have a lot of options with breasts that large. She is a real life Jessica Rabbit.

Trying to channel the John Singer Sargent portrait was a bad idea. She's not built *at all* like a Sargent model or the ideal of the time, so the dress looks cartoonish rather than elegant. Also, the hair is wrong for the look and so boring.

I don't like her, but let's be real - women shaped like her are never considered elegant. And that's not a slam on her, but a slam on a standard that she is not built for.

Valid point - except for her in particular that is the shape she rebuilt herself into.

Somewhat true. She can't help her broader build (compared to the waif ideal), and then decided she was going to give herself a huge bosom to distract from all that.

FFS, there was nothing "broad" about the original Lauren Sanchez. She has turned herself into a cartoon character.

I mean, a curvy body type can work, heck even a skintight dress with the body type can work. But not with this fabric. It's pulled too tight across her hips causing it to look wrinkled. If she wanted that effect it could have been draped.

If she wanted the skintight, highly corseted look, this fabric is too thick to pull it off.

The dress just doesn't make sense.

Someone tik tok said she looked like she bought it at Macy's. They were kinda right. It's not fabulous. She looks nice but basic.

I don't like Blake, but she looks great. She also dropped a few pounds.

I can't stand this look. There's nothing exciting about it. She's just playing Barbie Princess again. And again.
