In state?

When did your child submit the application? Towson is DS's top choice, and we assumed he wouldn't hear until January.

Was 10/25 since was working on the extra Honors essay. Was surprised to hear too. Not sure what is going on

Interesting, thanks for the update! That's around when DS submitted (he also was working on the honors essay). Congrats to your child on their acceptance!

thanks, I guess they release in batches so try not to read anything into it

I just saw your response, and then DS texted that he was accepted!

Oh my! What great news! Congratulations.

Ha, exactly the same for us - I was following the Towson posts and my daughter just texted me her acceptance

She's gotten in so far at Mary Washington, Frostburg, Towson

People upthread posted Dayton and Seton Hall, for example- I didn't think those were rolling.

Some schools call it EA but it is actually rolling. At some other schools it is EA but they release in batches. I think UMass Amherst used to release in batches but just last year switched to a single notification date.

PP here. Thanks for replying- makes sense. My child applied to both Dayton and SH (albeit very recently) so I'll be on pins and needles waiting!

Congrats to all for their acceptances!

PP here and happy to report my daughter got into Dayton's honor college today!

not yet, submitted in September. Their portal is the worst.

It's interesting...historically, Oregon has been in the earliest wave but seem to be moving toward a slower process. For what it's worth, there seems to be a bit of an increase in folks from the mid-Atlantic and Northeast heading to Eugene as I'm hearing more and more. I know two very different kids there currently and both absolutely love the school and love Eugene.

Waiting on U of O here, too. Based on years past they did seem to release on the earlier side but this year does not appear to be the case.

My kid did too! I was surprised at how much he liked it. It was his second choice, but I can see him kind of thinking about it even more than his first choice. We’ll see what happens. They really seem to have a personal touch - professors from the school have reached out directly to him. Your kid will be known there.

Thanks!

She applied 10/29. I didn't know they sort of did rolling admissions at the time of application; when I looked more deeply into their admissions page after she got accepted, I saw they'll start telling people after their Nov 1 deadline and it will be rolling admissions starting in Nov.

She got $33k a year which would bring it on par with in-state schools do us.
