Listen, I don’t have a problem with Sydney Sweeney but she has the wrong fanbase for this type of movie. Her main fanbase is men who like to look at her. She has really honed in on the “men find me hot” lane and those dudes like action movies. They want to see her in skimpy outfits. Of course she has female fans, but she doesn’t seem interested in cultivating a significant female fan base. Women are the audience that would go see a film like Christy, not men. Instagram likes and tweets from guys don’t always translate into sales. |
